Adena Coffee was founded to empower farmers and their communities to thrive while bringing authentic Indonesian coffee to the world. Its model goes beyond selling beans by applying sustainable agroforestry, introducing transparent and traceable supply chains, and sharing best practices in post-harvest technology. Adena works with local communities to open new processing units, enhance production capacity, and ensure that farmers can benefit directly from global markets.
Since starting in 2015, Adena now operates in four origins across Indonesia: West Java, Flores, Gayo, and Bali, and has 100 processing teams across 30 villages, involving more than 1,500 farmers in producing 17 distinct coffee variants. Beyond the fields, Adena supports over 140 local youth in Gayo and Flores, provides education savings for farmers’ children, and preserves indigenous cultural traditions by investing in community facilities and infrastructure.
Looking ahead, Adena Coffee plans to expand its reach to more farming communities, scale global distribution, and continue building a transparent and inclusive coffee value chain. Its vision is clear: to prove that Indonesian coffee can be a global force for good – sustaining livelihoods, protecting nature, and celebrating culture in every cup.
