SDI Academy offers literacy training to migrants and refugees and promotes upward socio-economic mobility
SDI Academy champions the welfare of migrants and refugees through skills development and employment opportunities. The enterprise provides English Communication Skills, It Literacy, Financial Literacy and Entrepreneurship training for the migrants and refugees and promotes upward socio-economic mobility.

Sazzad Hossain, CEO of SDI Academy, is a social entrepreneur who believes in the power of technology and human connection to accelerate social impact. Having experienced a language barrier himself in his earlier childhood, Sazzad is especially passionate about promoting opportunities to migrants and refugees that allows them to quickly develop their linguistic skillset.
To date, 18,500 migrants and refugees have trained directly through SDI Academy’s platform and another 90,000 trained through collaborations with Singapore Government initiatives. A pilot with the New Zealand Government is on the horizon.

Sazzad Hossain is one of the youngest Ashoka Fellow and has recently been awarded the Forbes 30 Under 30. Dela III will provide him with the strategic know-how to scale SDI Acadamy’s impact rapidly.
