What happens when four young contemporary designers from Amman, Delhi and Bangkok meet local artisans and local traditions? You get the LOKALT collection – unique handcrafted products with a contemporary design.
The products in this collection have been produced by social businesses in Jordan, Thailand and India. Everything is handmade by skilled artisans, creating work, equality and inclusion in regions where it’s most needed.
The collection will be launching in June in over 25 countries: Australia, Austria, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Japan, Korea, the Netherlands, Norway, Russia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, UK, US, Romania, Croatia, Poland, Italy, Thailand, Singapore, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Jordan. But IKEA would like to give you a behind the scenes look at how this collection came to be and how much work and creativity went into producing it:
