Eco-friendly shoe manufacturing creates job in Rwanda

UZURI K&Y is an african inspired eco-friendly shoe brand. Founded with the vision to brand Africa as an origin of sustainable fashion items, the social enterprise crafts viable solutions by recycling waste into functional footwear.

Job creation in their communities is at the heart of the organisation. Accordingly UZURI K&Y equips women and youth with the skills to produce the practical footwear of the brand out of rubber tires. 

 

We are now more open-minded to scaling our business. Scaling a business must be planned and we had no idea how to do so before we joined the accelerator!
