Social Enterprise Insights

IKEA Social Entrepreneurship has partnered with Social Enterprise Insights (SEI), Taiwan’s leading social enterprise platform, to co-create JIABA, the Joint Impact Accelerator for Better Agrifood. Supported by IKEA Taiwan, the programme will support 13 social enterprises in Taiwan’s food and agriculture sector in scaling their businesses and increasing their impact for vulnerable and marginalised communities.

The name JIABA (pronounced chia̍h-pá) means “to eat one’s fill” or “to be satiated” in Taiwanese. Deeply rooted in Taiwan’s culture, it reflects the programme’s vision of food security, sustainable livelihoods, and thriving communities.

Through capacity building, mentoring, grant funding and access to IKEA’s expertise and networks, JIABA supports social enterprises to overcome barriers to growth and create meaningful impact. The programme focuses on translating social innovation into tangible benefits such as job creation, livelihood improvement, inclusive sourcing, and community-driven services.
