Drömstort wants to change this situation. The organisation creates places where young people get support and are trusted with real responsibility. By offering motivation, clear structure, and strong relationships, Drömstort supports young people in growing from participants into leaders.
The model works as an ecosystem that supports youth in school, during free time and on their pathway into working life. Drömstort offers a clear development journey: starting as participants, becoming leaders, and then moving on to studies, work, or long-term engagement. The method combines support through mentorship and training, structure through individual plans and routines, and opportunities such as paid assignments, internships, and employer contacts.
Many young people in risk zones don’t have networks or references. Drömstort addresses this by offering homework help, leadership training, holiday programmes, community activities, and paid leadership roles. Young people lead groups, create safe environments at schools, organise sports and cultural activities, and take part in work-related assignments with schools, companies and municipalities.
The key innovation is changing roles: young people are not just receiving support, but are leaders who build community and create activities for others. With responsibility, trust, and real opportunities, they gain confidence and skills that help them move on to further studies and work.
Drömstort aims to create a national model that supports young people in risk zones in becoming future leaders. The goal is to give them access to education, responsibility, work, and a strong sense of belonging.
Programme support
Through the programme, we’ll support Drömstort with their national expansion plans. The focus will be on building a sustainable business and funding model, strengthening partnerships with the private sector, and developing scalable ways of working. This guidance will help Drömstort reach more young people, create more opportunities for leadership and work, and deepen its long-term impact.
