Quest Alliance empowers young people through technology-enabled learning, significantly improving their career prospects

In today’s rapidly changing world, young people face significant challenges transitioning from school to meaningful employment. The traditional education system often fails to equip students with the critical thinking, problem-solving, and technological skills needed for the modern workforce. In India, these gaps are further widened by uneven access to quality education, outdated curricula, and limited resources for vocational training. As a result, many young people find themselves unprepared to navigate the complexities of the job market, leading to unemployment or underemployment.

Quest Alliance tackles these challenges by supporting students and teachers in developing essential skills for the 21st century. Led by Aakash Sethi, the organisation’s mission is to create learning experiences using technology that helps young people succeed in their careers. By targeting students from Class 6 to 12 in public schools, as well as youth in vocational and technical training institutes, Quest Alliance works to bridge the gap between education and employability.

Quest Alliance has created a scalable model for self-learning and skills development through a combination of education technology, teacher training, and strategic partnerships with NGOs and government entities. Across 12 states in India, the organisation has reached over 1.6 million learners, trained 32,000 teachers, and 3,300 schools have benefitted. Notably, 65% of programme participants are productively engaged in their careers four years post-completion, and the average salary of alums is significantly higher than their peers.

Quest Alliance’s flagship platform, Quest2Learn, has gained global recognition as a leading tool for fostering 21st-century skills. The platform drives meaningful change, with 69% of users applying what they’ve learned at work and 70% leveraging this knowledge in their professional networks.
