I-SEA (Instellar and IKEA Social Entrepreneurship Accelerator) programme cohort I supports 10 of Indonesia’s innovative social entrepreneurs that provide jobs and deliver goods or services to address local needs, for example giving smallholder farmers, women, coastal and indigenous communities and at-risk youth the opportunity to create a better everyday life.

By providing business support, networking opportunities and access to funding to the social enterprises, they'll have the tools and resources to scale their impact and improve the lives of those that need it most. The social enterprises participating in cohort I operate in a variety of sectors such as sustainable agriculture, circular economy and responsible sourcing of secondary materials.

Duitin offers digital services to make sorting, collecting and managing waste easy for Indonesian businesses and households.

Greenie

Greenie provide areca palm farmers an alternative to burning the plant’s waste by turning areca leaf sheath into reusable materials for home and office furniture.

Alner

Alner contributes to solving Indonesia’s single-use sachet crisis with a reuse-and-refill packaging system.

Kulaku

Kulaku empowers coconut farmers to produce high-value coconut-based products and build a better future for their families.

Liberty Society

Liberty Society commercialises stylish fashion items to give back hope and dignity to women refugees and artisans facing poverty and violence.

Plépah

Plépah tackles non-recyclable waste in the environment by supporting farmers and local communities by selling their biodegradable packages made from agricultural materials, giving farmers a sustainable income.

QYOS

QYOS provides automatic refill stations for household products to reduce Indonesia’s excessive amount of non-recyclable plastic waste.

Rumah Mucaf

Rumah Mocaf produces gluten-free cassava flour products and trains cassava farmers in integrated organic farming.

Sustaination

Sustaination aims to be Indonesia’s top sustainable e-commerce platform and works with local producers to offer carefully selected products online.

Westbike Messenger

Westbike Messenger is a zero-emission bicycle courier that employs marginalised youth in Indonesia’s inner cities.
