Building a sustainable supply chain in organic honey, preserving the natural forest

Green Face Trading aims to add value and build a sustainable supply chain in the natural forest ecosystem in Ethiopia. They produce, process and market apicultural products for local and export markets in the region.

Their business model focuses on engaging rural unemployed youth into organic honey production and links to natural forests conservation. Rural youth often migrate to the Middle East and urban areas or harvest the forest to sell timber and firewood to generate income. Green Face Trading works with the youth on honey production and conserving the natural forest on a self-employed basis. Their business model establishes a learning center at their village with a demonstration site for continual capacity building and access to a sustainable market. 

 

Today, we see a big difference in many directions. Especially with our business model development skills, they have completely changed. We now have an organized business model, new awareness on hypothesis testing, financial model development, and marketing & pitch deck development.
