TRRAIN is a non-profit organization that provides training and upskilling to marginalized groups in India with little to no access to the job market

In India, research amongst employees and employers in the retail sector has shown that there is inadequate social inclusion and a lack of opportunities for employees to further develop themselves.

TRRAIN is a non-profit organization that provides training and upskilling to marginalized groups in India with little to no access to the job market.
The enterprise advocates for more pride and respect for front-end employees and stimulates inclusion in the industry by providing livelihoods to people with disabilities and women from poverty-stricken societies. By empowering and educating these groups they become more attractive to hire as employees.

Since its start, TRRAIN has made a big impact on the lives of the people in retail in India. Their different projects have together lifted 18,000 people with disabilities and 3,000 deprived women out of poverty. The company actively impacts the retail sector to be more inclusive and socially sustainable.

Programme support:

B.S. Nagesh is the founder of TRRAIN and has contributed significantly to introducing modern retail to the country. The Dela III programme will support TRRAIN with strategizing the upscaling of their livelihood programmes for people with disabilities. The ambition is to create more and better livelihoods for people with disabilities and young women, in the process transforming India’s retail market into a more inclusive industry.
